Monday Momentum: Small Steps, Big Progress

Happy Monday, October 26th, everyone! 🍂

As October starts to come to a close, I wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing with their goals and progress!

For me, Monday mornings have become a time to reset, reflect, and get organized for the week ahead. I like to take a little time to look back at what worked well the previous week, what I want to improve, and where I’m at mentally with the goals I’ve set for myself.

One thing I’ve learned is that progress is rarely linear. It’s completely normal to take a few steps forward and occasionally a step back. The key is consistency, not perfection. It’s about creating space in your life for the things that matter to you, even when life gets busy.

Here’s what my Monday morning planning typically looks like:

💪 Health & Fitness: I look at my workout schedule and book my classes for the week. I’ve also recently started working with a personal trainer once a week, so I make sure that’s on my calendar. Getting things scheduled ahead of time makes such a difference!

✨ Fun & Personal Time: I look ahead to the weekend and think about what I’d like to do for fun. Are there plans I need to coordinate? Something new I want to try? I want to make sure I’m intentionally carving out time for enjoyment, too.

💻 Work & Energy Management: I review my work calendar for early mornings, late nights, and particularly busy days. This helps me figure out where I’ll need to push a little harder and where I can pull back and give myself some breathing room.

🏡 Home & Seasonal Reset: I’m also starting to prepare for my winter reset after the new year. It’s hard to believe we’re already thinking about winter! This means flipping my closet for the season, doing some light decluttering (we tackled the big stuff in late summer!), checking the pantry, and thinking about anything I need to refresh or order before winter settles in.

I know that adding planning to an already busy schedule can feel like one more thing to do. But I’ve found that taking a little time once a week to get organized actually makes everything feel much more manageable.

And remember, you don’t have to accomplish everything every single week. Sometimes the win is simply staying consistent, making small adjustments, and continuing to move forward.

Now I’m curious about all of you!

How do you stay organized and keep yourself on track with your goals? Are you someone who plans daily, weekly, or even monthly? Or do you have another system that works really well for you?

I’d love to hear what’s working for everyone as we head into the final couple of months of the year! 🍁
