Happy Day 27 of the Reset Challenge!
Today I thought I’d talk about something that has really helped keep me on track throughout this challenge: integrating small, achievable habits alongside the bigger, more aggressive goals I’m working toward.
One of mine is reading every day. It doesn’t have to be for a significantly long time. I aim for at least 10 pages or around 30 minutes. The point isn’t how much I read. It’s that every single day, I’m doing something that allows me to show up for myself.
It makes me feel accomplished. I spend less time on my phone. I re-engage my brain in a different way. And most importantly, I feel good when I do it.
Another small habit I’ve carried over from previous challenges is incredibly simple: making my bed every morning.
There’s something about spending a few minutes cleaning up your space and starting the day organized that makes you feel a little more pulled together. It’s a tiny accomplishment, but it reinforces something bigger: I’m capable of following through on the things I say I’m going to do.
And I think that matters when we’re tackling the really big stuff.
Changing your health and nutrition. Breaking old cycles. Building a business. Saving money. Changing spending habits. Creating an entirely different lifestyle.
Those aren’t small goals. They often require us to break patterns we’ve spent years creating.
That’s where the little habits come in.
Read the 10 pages. Make the bed. Write for a few minutes. Clean up your space. Put the phone down.
Every time you follow through, you’re practicing consistency. And those small wins can start reinforcing the belief that you can follow through on the bigger things, too.
So my question for you on Day 27 is this:
What small habits have you implemented over the last 27 days? Have you stayed consistent? And are you noticing that those little habits are starting to reinforce some of the bigger changes you’re trying to make?
