Day 26: What Didn’t Get Done?

Happy Day 26 of the Reset Challenge! We’re officially entering the final days, and today I want to talk about something that comes with setting big goals: what happens when you don’t accomplish everything you planned?

I’m a big believer in setting ambitious expectations for yourself. Your goals should feel attainable, but they should also have a little pizzazz to them. ✨ They should require you to stretch, push, and maybe do a little more than you initially thought you could.

But when you put a lot of goals on your plate, sometimes something is going to slip. Maybe the timing wasn’t right. Maybe another area needed more of your attention. Or maybe you simply realized that a particular goal was harder than you expected.

Instead of looking at those things as failures, I think this is the perfect time to get curious about them.

What didn’t you accomplish the way you wanted to, and why?

For me, one of those areas was spending. I went into this reset wanting to curb my spending and really pull back. But as I started decluttering my home and wardrobe, I realized there were quite a few things that genuinely needed to be replaced. Not just buying for the sake of buying, but intentionally replacing broken, worn-out, or outdated items with things that made more sense for where I am now.

And, well… that still costs money. 😂

So rather than abandoning that goal, I’m carrying it forward. Going into my next sprint, one of my biggest priorities is creating a 90-day no-spend plan and really challenging myself to use what I already have.

That’s the beauty of doing a reset like this. You learn what works, what doesn’t, what needs more attention, and what deserves to come with you into the next chapter.

So as we head into these final days, take inventory. What are the one or two things you didn’t quite accomplish the way you hoped? And more importantly, what are you going to do about them next?

I’d love to hear yours below. 💛
