Happy Day 25 of the Reset. 🤍
Not gonna lie, today I’ve been a little bit down.
Nothing is really wrong. Nothing happened. It’s just one of those days where I don’t quite feel like myself. Do you ever have those?
I think I’m starting to feel some of the exhaustion that comes from pushing myself so hard over the last 25 days, and today I needed to ease up a little.
I still kept my promises to myself. I went to Pilates, and I officially have just THREE classes left in my challenge! I’ve been reading, eating well, showing up for my day job, and keeping up with the habits I’ve worked so hard to build.
But I didn’t push at 110%.
I decided to close down work a little early. I took an early shower, put on my pajamas, and decided that the rest of tonight is going to be about taking care of myself.
And maybe that’s part of a reset, too.
We talk so much about discipline, consistency, pushing ourselves, and becoming better versions of ourselves. But taking care of yourself when your energy is low is part of the work, too.
Not every day needs to be extraordinary.
Some days, success is simply maintaining the habits you’ve built while giving yourself permission to operate at 70%.
So if you’re having an off day, don’t let one low-energy moment convince you that you’re losing momentum. Keep the basics going. Do the best you can. Take care of yourself. And trust that tomorrow is another opportunity to begin again.
We’re 25 days into this reset. That means we’ve already done far too much good work to let one imperfect day define the journey.
So tonight, I’m choosing rest without guilt.
And I’d love to hear from you: How do you pull yourself out of a funk? When your day doesn’t go as planned, or you simply don’t feel like yourself, what helps you find your balance and get back to you? 🤍
