Day 23: Don’t Lose Momentum Now

We officially have one week left.

And I think this is the part of any challenge where things can get a little tricky.

The beginning is exciting. You’re motivated, you have a plan, and everything feels new. Somewhere in the middle, you start seeing progress, which gives you another little boost. But then you get close to the end, and suddenly there’s this temptation to mentally check out early.

I can definitely feel a little bit of that creeping in.

I’ve accomplished so much of what I wanted to do this month. My home feels better. I’ve cleared out things I’ve been holding onto for years. I’ve been consistent with Pilates. I’ve paid more attention to what I’m eating. I’ve taken care of beauty and wellness appointments I’d been putting off. And, probably most importantly, I’ve spent a lot more time thinking about what I actually want the next season of my life to look like.

So it would be really easy to say, “Good enough.”

But I don’t want to do that.

Because sometimes the last 10% is where we prove to ourselves that we can actually finish what we started.

That doesn’t mean cramming every unfinished goal into seven days or turning the final week into some miserable sprint toward perfection. It just means staying intentional.

For me, this week is about tying up the remaining loose ends, finishing as much of my Pilates challenge as I can, continuing the routines that have been making me feel good, and starting to think about which pieces of this reset I want to carry into September.

And I think that’s a good exercise for all of us.

Look back at the goals you set at the beginning of this reset. What still matters? What can realistically be finished this week? What turned out not to matter as much as you thought it would? And what habit or change has been so good for you that you don’t want to leave it behind when August ends?

You don’t need a dramatic final week.

You just need to keep showing up.

Seven more days.

Let’s finish what we started. 🤍
