Day 22: When the Reset Starts to Feel Like Real Life

Happy Day 22 of the reset. 🤍

We officially made it through three full weeks, and today I’ve been thinking about what happens when something stops feeling like a challenge and starts becoming part of your life.

At the beginning of this reset, there were lists. There were goals. There were closets to clean, appointments to make, workouts to complete, food choices to rethink, and all of those little things I had been putting off for another day.

And now, 22 days in, a lot of those things are simply… done.

My home feels lighter. My routines feel better. I’ve been taking better care of myself. I’ve made progress physically. I’ve tackled some of the beauty and wellness things I’d been wanting to address. And maybe most importantly, I feel like I’ve created some momentum heading into the next season.

But I also know myself well enough to know that checking things off a list is the easy part.

Keeping the promises you made to yourself after the motivation wears off is where the real work begins.

I don’t want September 1st to arrive and suddenly go back to everything I was doing before August. I want to take the things that worked during this reset and figure out how they fit into my normal life.

Maybe I don’t need to constantly be decluttering, but I can be more intentional about what I bring into my home.

Maybe every month doesn’t need a fitness challenge, but movement can remain a priority.

Maybe I won’t always be as focused on beauty and wellness appointments, but I can stop putting myself at the bottom of my own list.

And maybe I don’t need to completely reinvent my life every few months. Maybe the goal is to keep making small adjustments as I grow.

So this weekend, instead of adding another giant project, I’m giving myself a little space to enjoy what I’ve accomplished and think about what I actually want to carry forward.

If you’re doing this reset with me, I’d encourage you to ask yourself the same thing:

What have you done over these past three weeks that you want to become part of your life, not just part of this challenge?

We still have a little over a week to go, but I’m starting to realize that finishing the reset isn’t really the finish line.

It’s figuring out what comes with us next. ✨
