Happy Day 6 of the Reset!
Today, I want to talk about something that’s often overlooked when we’re chasing big goals: rest.
When you’re in the middle of a major reset, it can feel like every day has to be all-out effort. There’s often a fear that if you take a day off, rest your body, slow your mind, or simply relax for a while, you’re somehow falling behind. For many people, that’s exactly what starts the spiral.
But here’s what I’ve found through these sprints, challenges, and seasons where we push ourselves harder than we normally do: balance matters.
If you thrive on going full speed for 30 straight days, that’s fantastic. But the real goal isn’t just making it through a challenge. It’s building habits that last long after the challenge is over. And lasting habits require flexibility, recovery, and grace.
So today, I encourage you to find a little balance.
If you’re following a strict nutrition plan, research restaurants with healthy options so you can still enjoy dinner with friends or your partner without feeling like you’ve abandoned your goals.
If you’re too exhausted for your planned workout, don’t force it. Go for a walk. Stretch. Take a yoga class. Move your body in a way that honors where you are today instead of where you wish your energy was.
Progress doesn’t always have to be intense. Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is simply keep moving forward in a sustainable way.
As we wrap up the first full week of this reset, give yourself permission to build gentle moments into your routine. Be kind to yourself. Celebrate the consistency more than the perfection.
Because this isn’t about having a perfect week.
It’s about creating a life where these habits become part of who you are.
