We’re on Day 3 of this 30-day reset, and today I wanted to share a little more about what I’m personally focusing on in hopes that it might inspire you on your own journey.
To recap, Day 1 was about quietly reflecting. No blogging. No documenting. Just taking the time to think, reset, and plan internally.
On Day 2, we mapped out that plan and identified the areas we wanted to focus on over the coming months. If you haven’t seen that post and need a little inspiration, I encourage you to go back and take a look.
One of the four areas I identified is health and wellness.
Today, let’s talk about nutrition.
First, I’m not a nutritionist, and I’m not here to tell anyone how they should eat. Your doctor or a qualified nutrition professional is always the best resource for personalized advice. I’m simply sharing what’s been working for me.
My focus is pretty simple:
- Eating more whole foods.
- Limiting highly processed foods as much as possible.
- Prioritizing protein, which takes a little more planning since I’m a vegetarian.
- Filling my plate with plenty of vegetables.
I’ve found that simplifying my approach makes it much easier to stay consistent.
Two tools have also made a big difference for me. The first is a nutrition tracker. For me, it’s less about obsessing over numbers and more about building awareness of what I’m eating and whether I’m getting enough protein and nutrients. The second is a habit-tracking app, where I can check off the daily habits I’m working to build over the course of this challenge. Seeing that streak grow is surprisingly motivating.
What about you?
Is nutrition an area you’re working on during this second half of the year? Or is your focus somewhere else entirely?
I’d love to hear what habit or goal you’re investing in right now. Let’s encourage each other along the way.
