Vision Board 101

Vision Board 101

Vision boards can be created in so many different ways, and there truly is no right or wrong approach. The most important thing is choosing a method that feels inspiring and realistic for you.

Some people love a traditional, hands-on approach using magazines, scissors, glue, and poster board. There is something powerful about physically cutting and placing images that resonate with you. Others prefer a digital option using Pinterest or Canva, where you can create a collage quickly and refine it over time.

If you like the feel of a physical board but want the ease of digital, one simple trick is to save a handful of Pinterest images and have them printed at CVS or another photo center. This makes the process approachable and still tangible.

The key to an effective vision board is visibility. Whether it lives on your desk, your wall, your phone background, or your planner, it should be something you see often.

When choosing images, focus less on exact outcomes and more on how you want your life to feel. Calm. Confident. Energized. Grounded. Expansive.

A helpful place to start is by narrowing your focus to a few main categories, such as:

Career or work life Finances or stability Health and wellness Home and environment Relationships and connection

Your vision board does not need to be perfect or complete. It can evolve as you do. Think of it as a visual check-in with yourself rather than a to-do list.

Simple. Personal. Intentional.

That is Vision Board 101.
